Asst. Research Professor, Wake Forest School of Medicine and Visiting professor, University of Cape Town, Dept. of Family Medicine and Public Health; member of the Secretariat of Stakeholder Health (a learning collaborative of over 50 health systems with HHS Office of Neighborhood and Faith-Based Partnerships, funded by RWJF), immediate past President of the Tennessee Psychology Association. Teresa has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Psychology. Previously at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, she has also been Research Director, Center of Excellence for Faith & Health, Memphis Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare; Asst. Director of Faith Community Outreach; with adjunct joint university appointments in Preventive Medicine and Psychiatry and Gastroenterology. Working for many years at the intersection of faith and health (program development and evaluation of safety nets; population health management; designer of Life of Leaders executive physical program), her areas of specialization include: Interface of community health improvement, population health management, improving health systems program design, evaluation and research; community and congregational health; process and outcome metrics of hospital and community partnerships; wellness and medical care using the LCL framework; improving the health and well-being of those who live in poverty.
